The 6.th Continent

BOARDING NOW: A 3 YEAR JOURNEY OF EXPLORATION WITH GROB!

The 6th Continent is a magnificient, visionary work of theatre, which explores what it means to be Danish in the age of globalization, through 6 interconnected plays.

Each play follows a Danish community faced with the challenges of living on a new continent. The displacement forces them to ask fundamental questions: What kind of rules and values determines our behaviour when we face the world and each other? How are we connected? What is local and what is global? Globalization gives us an almost boundless mobility and freedom to travel, work or live whereever we choose. But how real is this freedom actually? How much personal and cultural bagage does one drag along? And when does good intentions turn into costly overweight?

FROM EVERYDAY DRAMA TO COMPREHENSIVE ARTWORK

The 6th Continent begins in the autumn of 2013 and spans over 3 seasons. Each play may be viewed isolated, but should you see more than one, you will discover connections between them, that will accumulate into a larger work eventually. We hope you will join us on this journey
